I graduated in December 2004 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree from Bradford College of Art Design And Textiles. I am currently working part time and painting and I am also working with the lister group organising exhibitions and pursuing my dream of becoming a well known and recognised artist. My style is expressive and abstract I like to look at the different forms and shapes within the landscape.

My work portrays the grand, vast and amazing landscape of Switzerland and also many different views of Yorkshire, England and around the world. I have visited Switzerland a few times now and I was so inspired by its scale and beauty. Within my work I wanted to express the sense of place and how I felt about Switzerland and what it meant to me. I also wanted to show the sense of scale and how it made me feel small and insignificant.

I have been part of an art group called the Lister group we have had several exhibitions since we formed the group after we graduated from Bradford College. We showed are work in many places in the area, are last group show was in the LGI in Leeds at the tonic gallery. It is a great feeling to be part of this group of people who are all practising artists and we can work together help each other out and give advice about each others ideas and work. I am also part of the Visual arts Group at the Priestley in little Germany where my current role is to help out with exhibitions hanging the work of the artist and helping with other members of the group with matters of other current events.

I have had some experience in a small local gallery called the Cavendish Galleries where I was there too look after the work and handle the sale of the work also kept a record on customer calls and enquiries. I have helped out with looking after other exhibitions of work with Fabric when there was a small tempory exhibition space in the centre of Bradford called The Positively Purple Gallery. I also have worked with one of my friends in York who works at YACRO who help’s out with reformed ex offenders who live in housing across form the centre and did a demonstration of how I work and what techniques I use as I draw and paint. I also display one of my large pieces of work in the centre, which was one part of a 15ft x5ft triptych when put all as one is a mountain range near where my brother lived in Switzerland.
